Webstation Australia Deployed The New Appointmentdiary V8 ALF For Client Total Chemicals

An innovative technology system called AppointmentDiary V8 ALF (auto-lead-filtering) developed by appointment scheduling specialists GObookings Systems has been deployed by web designers and managers WebStation Australia. GObookings is an Australian based company with government, university, corporate and business clients within Australia and the USA.

The unique AppointmentDiary Version 8 ALF system was recently added to a new web site for industry leader Total Chemicals, manufacturers and distributors of a large and complex range of industrial chemical products. Total Chemicals pride themselves on their customer service and needed a way to further streamline their online customer services by quickly coupling customers with a consultant conversant in the particular product range of interest.

The ALF solution allows the customer to firstly select a product range. Once the customer has selected the product range and day; available times are then displayed reflecting the availability of the consultant(s) for that product. Customer appointments are then made in an easy seamless and user-friendly way. The customer is able to book the ‘right consultant’ to telephone them at a time and day which suits them, with an instant email confirmation.

Simultaneously the auto-lead-filtering process initiates an instant SMS text message and email to that particular consultant. The Total Chemicals Sales Manager also receives an email confirmation for each appointment made and has the capability to view and report on the activity of the various consultants across any number of locations.

Total Chemicals Co-Founder Chris Barton commented – “AppointmentDiary ALF has increased sales dramatically whilst delivering improved service to existing and new customers. With our large range of products it allows better access for customers to the appropriate qualified sales consultant.”

The AppointmentDiary V8 ALF system is secured by 128 bit SSL encryption throughout and has many powerful and unique features including time zones, daylight saving features, multi-location capability, irregular time slots, a forward time feature to control the flow of appointments and customizable interfaces for each consultant and support staff. Should it be needed a built-in option also exists for an intelligent auto-rostering system across sales personnel for the same product. In addition the same solution will work in conjunction with a call centre to better manage sales leads from multiple sources. The AppointmentDiary V8 ALF system is available in Hosted Enterprise and Server Enterprise versions.

WebStation also installed the proven GOpay credit card payment system wholesale/retail shopping cart to handle online sales for TOTAL.

Take11 provides a web service for online cataloging of videos and dvds

Every technology has limitations and drawbacks. In the case of home entertainment systems, a drawback is the need to organize and manage a collection of videos and dvds. Even when many videos are borrowed, rather than owned, we’d like to be able to track what we’ve seen, make a wish list, assign our own ratings, and create notes about particular movies. Ever stand in a video store with dvd in hand and wonder whether you already own that particular title?

The solution is a system for cataloging—but the system must be easy to use; that is, it must take advantage of what we already know. Software developers Mitch and Jim Haileare creating such a system—a web site called Take11.com where users can catalog their video collections.

Take11 is a web service: there is no software to buy, download, or update. Anyone who can use a web browser can use Take11. If you have a web-enabled mobile phone, you can access Take11 remotely, such as from your local dvd store. To add to your collection, you input just three or four key terms, and Take11 will fill in many details: actors, director, studio, running time—even a cover image. You can then add your own tags, comments, and ratings. As the number of Take11 users grows, so will its database, and this will allow users to explore other collections and search for little known gems from the film industry.

Take11 has just been released for public beta-testing: the developers need users who will explore the site, test features, and give constructive feedback. Anyone who regularly watches videos at home should give Take11 a look.
